World Cup 2023: Pakistan win toss, opt to bowl first against New Zealand

BENGALURU: Pakistan have won the toss and elected to field first against New Zealand in the must-win game played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Pakistan made one change inducting Hassan Ali in place of Usama Mir while the Kiwis made two changes in the squad.

New Zealand’s Kane Williamson is back from the injury and is leading his side against Pakistan in a high-stakes league match.

New Zealand have four wins and three defeats, the latest being a massive 190-run loss against South Africa, which has put their serious doubts over their capabilities.

On the other hand, Pakistan revived their campaign with a much-needed seven-wicket victory against already-eliminated Bangladesh. The result saw Pakistan take their points tally to six.
