He said that, General Asim Munir, the then Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), exposed Imran Khan’s corruption after which PTI chairman Imran Khan has been maligning the COAS of his ouster.
PM Shahbaz Sharif held PTI chairman responsible for the the tragic and disgraceful incidents of terrorism undertaken by PTI activists following his arrest from IHC.
The PM further added that the desecration martyrs’ monuments and attack on the national installations represent an unimaginable low in our politics.
He said that the nation stands with its armed forces, and any nefarious attempt to weaken the forces will be thwarted.
It is pertinent to mention here that the former prime minister Imran Khan while speaking to the foreign media in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) stated that he has never thought of anything wrong about General Asim Munir, and promised to maintain good relations with COAS even after coming to power.
The former premier said that some people are misguiding the army chief about him. He added that he has already sent a message to the army chief.
Khan rejected the claims of getting any relief from the judiciary. He alleged that he has been abducted and later he was given his arrest warrant in jail. “After reaching court, it came to my knowledge that people were killed. I had already warned about the consequences if I am arrested.”
